The Stories We Carry
We were born with a soul that knows its worth, but somewhere we learned to carry stories that weren't ours. Here is your permission to stop performing and remember that you are already enough.
We are all born with a soul that knows its own worth. But as we grow, we often learn to carry stories that aren’t ours.
We learn that being “good” means being quiet.
We learn that being “lovable” means being helpful.
We begin to follow a script that values us for what we do, rather than for the beautiful light of who we are.
For a long time, I carried those stories, too.
I thought being the “strong one” was my purpose. I didn’t realize that in my effort to hold everything together for everyone else, I was slowly letting go of myself.
A Place to Rest
If life has felt a bit heavy lately, or if the world just feels a little too loud and demanding—if it feels like you’ve been carrying a load you were never meant to carry—I want you to know something important: You are not broken.
The weariness you feel is simply your heart’s way of asking for a moment to rest.
It’s a sign that you’ve been in “survival mode” for so long because you were trying to be everything to everyone.
You aren’t failing; you are simply tired of carrying a weight you were never meant to hold.
The Invitation to Soften
Reclaiming your peace is not about finding a new productivity hack or a better way to perform.
It is about gently reminding yourself that the performance is over, and it is finally safe to be who you truly are.
When we begin to prioritize our own peace, something magical happens.
The weight begins to lift.
The breath finds its way back down to the belly.
The “script” you were handed begins to fade, and you realize the woman you’ve been looking for hasn’t gone anywhere.
She’s right here, waiting for you to exhale and for you to finally, fully prioritize her.
With so much love,
Kimberly
Reclamation Ritual: A Moment to Soften
This week, I invite you to stop “doing“ for just three minutes. There is no right way to do this; there is only your way.
Place a hand on your heart or your belly. Just feel the warmth of your own touch.
Acknowledge the effort. Without trying to fix or change anything, just acknowledge how hard you’ve been working to keep it all together.
The Permission: Tell yourself, “I don’t have to be ‘good’ or ‘helpful’ in this moment. I am allowed to just be.”
